VEHICLE WASH FACILITIES

 

As the result of environmental concerns, companies are required installing Wash Facilities for various armored equipment at all applicable military and chemical facilities. The resulting wash water, which can result from cleaning tanks/equipment or materials is collected, treated and released. The volume of wash water can be large and is intermittent. Therefore, equalization impoundments are required. Contaminants include oils, chemicals, degreasers, glycols, diesel, JP8 and surfactants.
